Experiential Therapy for Adults
Beyond Talk Therapy
Tailored to You
Therapy is as unique as you are. One size does not fit all. Together, we craft a roadmap that aligns with your individual journey, merging your story with empowerment. My approach is relational, which means we build trust overtime and share space together.

Beyond Talk Therapy
I will integrate various therapeutic techniques, including EMDR, anti-oppressive approaches, narrative exposure therapy, expressive arts therapy, narrative therapy, DBT, and mindfulness-based approaches (read more below). Essentially, words alone are not enough to express or heal, and this approach recognizes the significance of using non-verbal/body-based approaches in addition to talk for therapy.
Navigating Systemic Realities on Your Healing Journey
Systemic issues, such as racism, ageism, transphobia, and colonization are forces that shape our experiences and aspirations. Addressing individual well-being goes beyond treating isolated issues. It involves recognizing the social and societal complexities at play. Read about why Therapy is Political. You can also read about frequently asked questions.

A Glimpse at Some Techniques
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR has a strong track record in supporting survivors of trauma and other adverse experiences to take back their power. Think of it as turning down the volume for distressing memories. Sometimes we cannot grieve or move forward because these memories are too loud. Learn more about my approach to EMDR by clicking here.

We often integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy into our EMDR sessions. Discover more about IFS:
Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET)
For folx that have survived multiple traumas, Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) is an evidence-informed approach that invites culturally considerations. It's like mapping out life events, working through your stories, and making sense of fragmented memories. Dive deeper into NET.
Expressive Arts Therapy
This approach using various creative mediums such as visual arts (e.g., drawing), writing, music or others (e.g., LEGO building) to help people explore and express thoughts & emotions non-verbally. By engaging in the artistic process, folx can enhance self-awareness, facilitate emotional healing, and promote personal growth in a holistic and person-centered manner. Learn more here.
Mindfulness Techniques
Mindfulness is about being aware and present in the moment, with acceptance and without judgement. It isn't about ignoring the challenges of the world. Trauma can take so much energy and mindfulness is an approach to put down that weight, if even for a few minutes. It's not just about meditating and yoga and takes many different forms. Learn more about Mindfulness Techniques.
Anti-Oppressive Approaches
Together we can challenge the harmful stereotypes and prejudices inflicted onto individuals & communities. Living with minority identities often feels like walking on a tightrope when we are Othered. Anti-oppressive strategies empower people, fostering collective resilience against systemic oppression. Discover more about Anti-Oppressive Approaches.

"For marginalized people, loving yourself is an active fight because you are bombarded with messages that try to convince you to be ashamed of yourself and to believe that you are less than because of your identity, when the truth is that you are more than enough."

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
DBT is designed to help people live with intense emotions and improve interpersonal relationships. It focuses on developing skills in four main areas: emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. DBT aims to empower individuals to navigate challenging situations, regulate emotions, and build a life worth living. Learn more here.
